About The Event
Katsuko began Ikebana in Japan earning her teaching degree before moving to the United States where she has been teaching for 45 years. Her works have been displayed in the annual Bouquets to Art show in San Francisco CA, de Young Museum for over 25 years. Since 2014 she has been giving demonstrations and conducting workshops at OFAD in San Francisco; different ikebana chapters and at community events, both in Calfiornia and across the county. In addion, she is the author of five beautifully illustrated books on the Art of Ikebana Bamboo in Focus (2015), Weaving Techniques with Leaves and Grass (2015), Palm Fronds: Elaboraion (2016), Died Lotus Leaves (2016) and Midollino and Bances (2017).
